One family member was Danny Mitchell, played by actor Liam Bergin.
In 2009 Liam joined the cast of EastEnders playing Ronnie and Roxy Mitchell’s brother Danny.
He did 44 episodes on the soap from 2009 to 2010, before his character was phased out by mutual consent from the show with executive producer Bryan Kirkwood.
However, he returned in December 2016 following the deaths of Ronnie and Roxy.
His comeback, along with actress Glynis Barber, who played his mum Glenda Mitchell, had been kept a closely guarded secret.
Since his brief return to Walford, Liam has focused his attentions on yoga, travelling to India to study his craft.
In a post on Instagram from February, he shared a snap of him on a beach at sunset, clasping the hand of one of his fellow yogi’s.
He captioned the shot: “I have so much love for this guy.
“He has literally taught me everything I know about yogic breathing, he began teaching me in India innit in 2019, and he’s still teaching me right now.
“No sanscrit terms, no inaccessible jargon, just an easy to follow 4 week online course, taught by a superhuman, that will give you superpowers. ‘ave a look at my super blouse!”
Liam regularly posts snaps and videos of himself practising yoga and showing off his incredible flexibility.
But when he isn’t flexing and stretching, he works in theatre, most recently promoting a show he is directing, Morally Grey at the Lightbox Theatre in Bristol.
