They were representing their unique business, The Lazy Pug, located in Shipston-on-Stour, Warwickshire.

Ashley has revealed exactly what it was like to be a part of the show, stating that whilst it was fun, it was “exhausting”.

Speaking to CoventryLive, the brand and marketing manager stated he was forced to wake up at the crack of dawn, and would film for around 18 hours a day.

Ashley said: “It was great. If I am honest, it was long hours.

“We spent a long time filming so we would get up at 7am and start filming and maybe finish filming at like 1am, and then repeat for two weeks.”

Though the show is typically only half an hour long, Ashley revealed: “It is 18 hours of filming a day for two weeks.

“It was a lot of fun, but also really exhausting.”

Ashley suggested he felt sorry for the show’s crew members, due to their long working days.

He continued: “It was brutal, but to be honest me and Rosie ended up feeling sorry for the film crew because we are having fun but they are running around with all their equipment doing the same hours as us.”

Rosie and Ash were the youngest pair competing on the show, and have admitted they reckon the critiques received from others were “too harsh:.

They were stunned to find out that all three sets of fellow competitors would not return to their colourful B&B.

Whilst saddened at the time that they’d had three no’s, they were happy to find out they’d placed second in the competition.

They came just behind Anthony Griffin, who owns a Warwickshire B&B called The Hollybush Inn.
