I’M A CELEBRITY legend Tony Blackburn is keen to see the back of stomach-churning trials like the eating challenge.
The veteran DJ – who won the first series back in 2002 – said the “disgusting” trial needs to be ditched and questioned whether it is still considered “entertaining”.

The veteran DJ said the ‘disgusting’ challenge is no longer ‘entertaining’
Campmates are served up a range of revolting dishes – from creepy crawlies, to camel penis and cow anus.
But Tony, 80, now thinks it’s time to scrap the outdated trial saying he’s forced to switch off when it’s on.
He shared his frustration and tweeted: “Watching I’m A Celeb South Africa and am wondering if watching celebrities eating disgusting things is really entertainment.
“This has all been done before and probably enough now. What do you think?”
One fan replied and said: “Absolutely, it’s becoming boring,” to which Tony added: “I tend to agree which is a shame as I won the first one in 2002 and have watched it ever since.
“These eating trials are something I have to tune out of as I find them disgusting.
“I would rather see the contestants reacting to one another in the camp.”
Other followers were quick to agree with Tony, with one writing: “It is past its sell by date I’m afraid. How do they still get away with the eating trials?”
But other fans were still lapping it up and said the trial is still entertaining over two decades on.
One posted: “No, it’s not becoming boring. It’s entertainment, and us viewers LOVE IT.”
Last night viewers saw Janice Dickinson fight back the tears ahead of the gruesome Bush Banquet trial.
Meanwhile Jordan left fans in hysterics as he gagged and spat out pieces of animal anus.
The pair gave it their best shot and walked away with five stars after refusing to eat three dessert-style plates.
