EVERY series of Love Island brings with it the dreaded Casa Amor.
The annual twist, which sees a new batch of singletons entering the show to fight for their place in the main villa, has proven to be a must-watch moment for fans.
Billy Brown entered last summer’s Love Island as a Casa Amor bombshell
This year’s Islanders are set to be rocked by Casa Amor very soon
But now one former Islander who entered the show as a Casa Amor bombshell has been spilling the beans on what REALLY goes on behind-the-scenes.
Billy Brown was on last summer’s Love Island, and has revealed the boys are literally thrown in at the deep end when they enter the show.
Speaking to OK! the former hunk in trunks said: “You only meet the other Casa Amor boys an hour or so before entering the villa together.
“Before that you’re in isolation by yourself and then suddenly you’re going in with a group of other people that you’ve never even met to meet a group of other people you’ve never even met.
“The producers then give you a mini pep talk where they tell you to make the most of the opportunity and tell you that you have to give it your all because you’re only in there for a few days,”
Billy went on: “The Casa Amor twist happens in the early hours of the morning. I don’t know what time I went there, but I think it had to be around 2am.”
“On that morning at Casa Amor, we probably had an hour’s worth of chats and then had to pick a girl to share a bed with. I went up to Paige and asked if she didn’t mind sharing because you have to be bold in order to make an impression.”
Casa Amor is yet to be officially confirmed but with the show now about to enter its fourth week, it won’t be too long before things really start heating up in the villa.
Fans are convinced it won’t be long, and on last weekend’s After Sun Maya Jama teased its return.
Meanwhile, producers have chosen a snazzy home for the iconic Casa Amor segment, just feet away from the main house – right next to the action in South Africa.
Casa Amor is one of the most anticipated moments in the show – bringing us shocks including Andrew Le Page hooking up with Coco Lodge behind Tasha Ghouri’s back.
Having the two villas so close together means the ITV show’s most controversial twist will be even more drama packed when it returns in January.
And the accommodation for the drama to unfold looks as swanky as ever before.
The new Casa Amor is in South Africa’s Western Cape, an area packed with vineyards and popular with British holidaymakers.
The large home features a huge outdoor swimming pool with reclining chairs beside it.
Discussing this year’s Casa Amor, a source told The Celeb Report: “Casa Amor’s inhabitants have always been able to relax in the knowledge that the people they’re coupled up with are miles away.
“Well not any more – if there’s any wild partying going on, the main villa may well be able to hear it.
“This year, it really could be a case of having trouble with the neighbours as the bombshells try to crack couples apart.”
The Casa Amor stage of Love Island comes when the boys and girls are divided – with one group sent to live in a new house.
They are then tempted by a group of lusty new arrivals, while the same thing happens back at the main villa.
Winter series of the programme are not filmed in the traditional hotspot of Majorca because the temperatures are too cold for the permanent swimwear the show is famous for.
However, there will also be a regular series in the summer months in the show’s usual home.
