FORMER Love Island star Sharon Gaffka has revealed how producers secretly were able to sneak in cigarettes for contestants.
The reality TV favourite – who rose to fame on the ITV2 dating show back in its seventh series – explained that smokers had to “ask” for breaks outside the villa using their “limited” supplies.
Sharon, 26, opened up in a tell-all chat exclusively to The Celeb Report about how Islanders would get around the rules of not leaving the villa.
She explained that smokers were given access to the outside in order to use their allocated cigarettes by production staff.
“I don’t remember there being smokers when I was there, but I know if you were you would have your cigarettes allocated to you in a lunch box and you’d have to ask a member of production,” Sharon said.
“I’m not sure if they got rationed, but I remember those lunch boxes had people’s name on for cigarettes.

“If you wanted a cigarette you would have to say into your microphone ‘I really want to go for a cigarette’.
“They’d say, ‘OK, we’ll get someone from production to supervise you and it’ll take place outside the front door somewhere’.
“You would go there, you would have your cigarette and then you’d go straight back in. You wouldn’t be on your own, it would be you and a member of production.”
It comes after Sharon revealed a show divide and admitted the cast’s forced friendships have finally come to an end.
The star said she doesn’t speak to many of her former housemates, which includes winners finalists Millie Court and Liam Reardon.
Sharon told The Celeb Report: “There is a WhatsApp group with like everyone in there pretty much. I think it’s quite dead.
“But it’s not in a malicious way. I think because you are forced to be friends with people in the villa right?”
Sharon, a former civil servant, appeared close to Hugo Hammond in the ITV2 show, and has since been spotted on nights out with co-stars Faye Winter and Aaron Simpson.
