I was on Wife Swap – what the other woman said when she went through my fridge left me reeling

A FORMER Wife Swap was left lost for words when she realised what the other woman said when she looked through her fridge.

Sonia Durrant appeared on the first episode of the Channel 4 series back in 2003.

Sonia swapped lives with Dee Jackson as part of the experiment.

She left behind her partner of five-months Lance and her two kids Kimberly and Luke, and lived with Dee’s husband of 18-years Dave, and their teen daughters Mary and Carol for two weeks.

Now, 19 years on from her stint on the reality show, Sonia has taken to TikTok to reminisce over her time on the programme.

In one video she used a clip of Dee looking in her fridge and edited herself onto the video.

As Dee roots around and has a look at her food she says: “Whoever lives here is not English.”

Sonia watches the footage she gasps and puts her hands over her mouth in shock.

In another video Sonia gave her fans an update on how her kids are doing.

She is now the proud grandma of two grandchildren after her daughter became a mum.

Sonia, who has tallied up 29.6k followers on TiKTok, told her 4499k followers: “They’re both fit, well and very happy kids.”

The star also explained that she worked for a gym when producers rang her up to advertise taking part in the show at her work.

They asked her if they knew any families and said that hers fit the bill.

Her bio states: “Hi, I’m Sonia from original wife swap UK.”

The reality star is interested in events and is launching her own dating ones soon.

Wife Swap hit our screens in 2003 on Channel 4 and ran until 2009.

The show follows women who swap their lives with another woman.

They have to abide by their new family’s rules, but in the second, they are in charge.
