IAN Beale is left horrified as he receives a bullet in the post after his brutal attack in tonight’s episode.

Things are going from bad to worse for the chip shop owner, who only recently left hospital where he was fighting for his life.

But scenes from tonight’s episode of Eastenders will show the businessman up and about and recovering from his hospital stay.

Although the look of fear in his face is clear as he opens the letter and it’s not the get well card he was expecting – instead it’s a menacing bullet.

Fans of the show have been left on the edge of their seats as various suspects have been lined up to get rid of the long time character played by Adam Woodyatt.

Viewers saw Tina storm off in the direction of the Queen Vic moments before Ian was attacked.

While his own son Bobby apparently admitted to the assault as Ian was on his hospital bed with a bleed on the brain following the attack.

After Ian has a funny turn and it looks like he’s about to meet his maker, his son Bobby starts shouting out: “I’m sorry dad! It was me!”

Viewers of the show stormed to Twitter to share their shock at the twist.

One wrote: “I’m not convinced that it was Bobby who did it, reckon he is blaming himself because he missed a ritual.”

Fans have also spoken of their distrust of Sharon, after she agreed to marry her pal.

Viewers know Ian is responsible for Sharon’s son’s Denny’s death – but on screen it appears that she doesn’t know.

However after her surprise decision to agree to marry Ian – and the thunderous look on her face while it was happening, fans are convinced she knows about Denny and wants revenge.
