BRITISH iCarly fans are now able to watch episodes from the first seasons of the hit Nickelodeon show and in excited preparation, we’re looking at the child stars’ jaw-dropping transformations.
The popular series followed a group of friends navigating school and newfound fame after the launch of their popular web series.
It’s been over eight years since the hit show ended in 2012 after six seasons so fans were thrilled to hear it would be available to watch once again thanks to the streaming platform’s deal with Nickelodeon.
So where is the cast now and more importantly, what do they look like?
Carly Shay played by Miranda Cosgrove
After iCarly ended in 2012, Miranda headed off to the University of Southern California where she gained a degree in psychology.
The talented actress and voiceover star, 27, has continued with her acting career appearing as the voice of Margo in the Despicable Me franchise.
Since leaving iCarly, Miranda has appeared on the NBC comedy series Crowded, horror film The Intruders and loads of other TV movies.
According to IMDB, her most recent projects include film North Hollywood, a film about becoming a pro skater, as Rachel, and a guest appearance on an episode of ABC’s The Goldbergs.
Samantha “Sam” Puckett played by Jennette McCurdy
Fan favourite Jennette McCurdy played Carly’s best friend Sam, who was slightly kooky and provided much of the goofy, comic relief in the series.
After iCarly ended in 2012, Jennette carried on playing the much-loved character on the Nickelodeon spin-off series Sam and Cat.
Starring fellow Nickelodeon star Ariana Grande, the show aired from 2013 to 2014 but didn’t gain the same popularity as iCarly had.
Jennette has carried on acting and in 2015 starred in the Canadian sci-fi series Between, she also wrote and directed a short film called Kenny, which premiered in 2018.
In addition to acting, writing and directing, the talented performer has also been working in comedy and began doing her one-woman show I’m Glad My Mom Died, in Los Angeles.
The tragic-comedy is currently postponed due to the continuing coronavirus pandemic.
Freddie Benson played by Nathan Kress
The adorable Nathan Kress played Carly’s friend and the producer of her web series, Freddie Benson on the show,
Since the show’s end in 2012, he’s appeared as a sketch actor on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! and voiced a character on the multi-network TV series Shuriken School.
The soon-to-be dad of two also has a podcast with friend and actor Brett Davern called Radioactive Dads about parenting and life.
Nathan has also appeared in guest roles on CBS’s Without a Trace and Disney Channel’s The Suite Life of Zack and Cody.
Spencer Shay played by Jerry Trainor
According to review site Rotten Tomatoes, Jerry spent several years struggling to make it as an actor before achieving his breakthrough role in his 30s on the popular teen series, Drake & Josh.
After playing Carly’s older brother, Spencer Shay, he continued to work with Nickelodeon starring on the show Wendell and Vinnie and doing voiceover work for T.U.F.F. Puppy.
The actor, 44, most recently appeared on Netflix’s No Good Nick.
Gibby Gibson played by Noah Munck
Noah’s character Gibby was best known for his peculiar habit for frequently taking off his shirt and had some of the best comedy lines in the series.
His little brother Ethan even appeared on screen as Gibby’s sibling, Guppy.
After the show ended, Entertainment Weekly reported Nickelodeon had green-lit a spin-off show featuring Munck as Gibby, however the pilot episode was never publicly released.
Noah, 24, did reprise his role as Gibby on an episode of Sam and Cat, and in 2014 he began starring on the hit ABC comedy The Goldbergs as Rob Smith.
While Noah still acts, he is also an accomplished musician and producer of electronic music, having released a number of tracks under the aliases NoxiK and SADWORLDBEATS.
