AN iCarly reboot has been confirmed with the original cast members returning – sending fans wild.
The Nickelodeon series originally aired for six seasons from 2007 to 2012.
It followed a group of best friends who were creating a webcast while also dealing with everyday issues.
The original run broke ratings records for Nickelodeon and now a show revival on Paramount Plus has been confirmed according to TVLine.
Original cast members Miranda Cosgrove, Jerry Trainor and Nathan Kress are all set to return for the reboot.
The series was so popular it spawned a spin-off series – Sam & Cat – Jennette McCurdy and Ariana Grande.
Back in 2015, Miranda – who played Carly – opened up about the prospect of a reunion one day.
She told J-14: “It’d be fun to do [a reunion movie] some day.
“Because we’re all doing our own thing I don’t get to see Nathan and Jerry as much, so I think it’d be really fun to get to all be together again.”
She added: “I really want to do another TV show, so that’s what I’m hoping to do soon.
“I want to try to grow and do something new, so [I’d like to do a show that’s] a little more mature.”
Fans were delighted by the news, with one writing on Twitter: “im so excited its unreal.”
Another added: “Please I’m already excited.”
