I’M A Celebrity…South Africa campmates face the show’s most savage twist ever as two stars are set to be booted out tomorrow night – after just four nights in camp.
The original A-listers usually have around 13 nights before they have to face the public vote.
The news of the early eviction leaves the camp in shock
Ant and Dec break the news to camp
But the group featuring in the all stars special will be spliced after less than a week.
On tomorrow night’s show, host Ant McPartlin tells camp: “Big news because it’s time for the very first survival trial. The losing pair will be leaving camp forever.”
Declan Donnelly adds: “The stakes couldn’t be higher on this one. Because the losing pair will head home for good.
“That means you lose out on the chance to become the first ever I’m A Celebrity legend.”
The celebs screamed when they heard the news.
It’s a major shake-up to the show format, made necessary because of the pre recorded nature of the show.
There are no public votes.
A source said: “All the celebs had to undertake a week-long quarantine before even arriving in the camp so many have had a real juggle to make the commitment.
“And of course their hopes are hung on being on the show a long time and grab a decent whack of airtime to promote causes, their businesses or boost their profiles – they are professionals, after all.
“The celebs were all just settling in so the news went down like a lead balloon.”
Viewers will see some of the celebrities take part in the first ever Survival Trial tomorrow night, with two of the group leaving at the end of the show.
I’m A Celebrity…South Africa is a slightly shorter series than the regular I’m A Celeb, running at 15 shows.
It was pre recorded in Kruger National Park last September.
Watch the first eviction tomorrow night at 9pm on ITV and ITVX.
