I’m A Celeb fans all say the same thing as they notice cruel trend in camp

FANS of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here have been left concerned after noticing a “cruel” trend in the camp.

Eagle-eyed viewers couldn’t help but notice how one of the stars keeps getting picked for “the trials that require you to be smart”.

Many took to Twitter to complain it was “cruel”

Hollyoaks star Owen Warner was seen alongside A Place In The Celeb Report’s Scarlette Douglas taking part in the Dingo Dollar challenge last night.

He failed to complete the task, which required him and Scarlette to identify and count different currencies within a set time.

Owen, 23, who is best known for his role as Romeo Nightingale in the soap, has already been dubbed “gullible” by viewers at home.

He had viewers in hysterics when he admitted he didn’t know who Mike Tindall’s wife Zara Phillips was – despite her being a royal.

He later told the Bush Telegraph he had no idea about Matt Hancock’s affair – as he admitted he “didn’t follow” politics.

While during the opening of the show, the young star asked iconic pop singer Boy George “what his name was”.

Owen also fell for a trick played by former DJ Chris Moyles, who convinced the star he was a “three time dance world champion”.

Owen has since opened up that he isn’t great at general knowledge – but now fans have noticed a “cruel” running trend.

The actor has been picked for a number of “intellectual” challenges, including a Who Wants To Be A Millionaire style Bushtucker trial.

As well as the currencies-based challenge last night, he was also given a crossword task alongside Lioness Jill Scott last week.

Reacting to the challenges, one fan raged on Twitter: “This show is so foul for putting Owen on all the trials that require you to be smart.”

Another chimed in: “Putting Owen in quizzes is just cruel.”

A third agreed: “It’s cruel & really not funny. To do it once and have a laugh with him after fine but don’t keep it going with [it].”

It comes after fans were left baffled last night as Owen and Scarlette failed to complete the latest Meals on Wheels challenge (formerly known as the Dingo Dollar challenge).

The task, called Jungle De Change, saw them trying to identify and then count different currencies.

However, in a change-up to the usually light-hearted format, designed to get treats to the campmates if they’re successful with the challenge, and then a question, this time was different.

Rather than letting them take their time, there was a judgemental clock ticking down over them, giving Scarlette and Owen a set time in order to complete it.

They ultimately failed, and as a result returned back to camp devastated and empty handed.

Fans were confused why they were given a time limit in the first place, not realising the fun-filled challenge to break up the campers’ day normally came with one as they’ve always been previously achieved.
