Frankie Dettori becomes the first campmate to be eliminated this series
I'm A Celebrity fans were left "shocked" as Frankie Dettori became the first campmate to be eliminated this series. The Italian jockey, 52, said goodbye to his fellow co-stars after ITV viewers complained that he had "disappeared from camp".
Emotional farewell from the campmates
The rest of the campmates looked stunned at the results. They quickly surrounded him with hugs before chanting "it was a fix" as he left the camp for good. Frankie said the experience had been "surreal" and "emotional".
A challenging adventure in the jungle
In his first interview with Ant and Dec, Frankie said: "It's been so surreal and what an adventure. Yesterday really hit me when I got the letter from our loved ones, you forget there is a world outside watching you. We've been out comfort zone for so long."
He continued: "Emotions were up and down, I've been dieting for 30 years but this takes you to another level. The heat, the fatigue of the jungle, you just need some food in the stomach to fuel the body. You're slowing down and shutting off, even a mouthful of rice perks you up. It's been challenging but we've had a fantastic camp."
Settling the chef debate and supporting fellow campmates
Ant asked if he was disappointed to be the first one out, with him replying: "Yes, I'm disappointed but also very happy because I did nearly two weeks in the jungle. I beat my fears of enclosed spaces and snakes all in the same task, I met some wonderful people and it's been a fantastic experience."
Frankie then settled the argument over who is the better camp chef – saying First Dates Fred is better in the kitchen. While he also said he wants "larger than life" Sam Thompson to win the show.
Surprising odds for elimination
YouTube star Nella, 26, was tipped to be the first person to be voted out of the jungle, followed by jockey Frankie with 2-1 odds, and actor Nick Pickard with 4-1 odds. While Marvin Humes and Nigel Farage both had odds of 14-1 to exit, with Tony Bellew and Fred Sirieix at 33-1 odds.
Fright at the Museum trial and emotional moments
It comes after a jam-packed episode where Nella took on her eight trial, Fright at the Museum. She smashed the trial after getting 9 out of 10 stars and said: "It was very scary. I'm shaking. Fear of the unknown. I just remembered, Tony, he really believes in me and he thinks I'm the strongest woman on the planet, confined space, you lot pushed it with that. In the jet black, no. But me and Tony Bellew neck and neck." There was plenty of tears after the campmates worked together and successfully won their letters.
