I’M A Celebrity South Africa fans were left horrified when Paul Burrell broke down in tears and screamed after he was “bitten” by a snake.
The South Africa spin-off series, which stars some of the ITV reality show’s most iconic campmates from over the years, kicked off this evening.
Paul Burrell couldn’t contain his emotions during the trial tonight
The former royal butler had to take on snakes in the first trial
The former butler is taking part in the new I’m A Celeb spin-off show
The likes of Shaun Ryder, Helen Flanagan, Phil Tufnell, Jordan Banjo, Carol Vorderman, Amir Khan, Janice Dickinson, Fatima Whitbread and Paul are the famous faces appearing on our screens.
Tonight the former butler looks like he’s in a lot of pain as he screamed in fear as a snake appeared to nip him during a trial called Hell Holes.
Paul can be seen making a number of noises as he plunged his hand into a hole filled with serpents.
He was trying to find a key in order to win a meal for his first night in camp.
But poor Paul looked in pain as he shouted to fellow campmates Shaun and Janice, “It’s biting me!”
The scene remined fans of the first time the former royal butler was on I’m A Celebrity before.
Princess Di’s right hand man appeared on the show back in 2004.
Few can forget Paul’s meltdown as he gurned his way through the Bushtucker Trials, when he tried to grab meal tokens from inside holes filled with rats and bugs.
I’m A Celebrity… South Africa is on our screens all this week with the spin-off version.
All the campmates have previously survived the Australian jungle, but the new camp will push them to their limits and test them like never before.
The challenges are bigger and tougher and the environment harsher and more unforgiving.
With no public vote, they will be competing against each other in a battle to become the first ever I’m A Celebrity Legend.
- I’m A Celebrity South Africa continues tomorrow night at 9pm.
