I’M A Celebrity alumni Beverley Callard has accused show bosses of giving one of her 2020 campmates a bad edit.
Corrie legend Bev appeared in Gwrych Castle last year but believes producers homed in on certain stars more than others.
Beverley thinks that former Strictly Come Dancing professional AJ Pritchard wasn’t shown in the best light as a result.
Speaking to Rylan Clark, both she and her fellow 2020 Castle co-star Vernon Kay also revealed that show bosses had plotted to turn things “nasty”.
Beverley told Rylan’s Ry-Union podcast: “None of us were confrontational, not one of us. Nobody was trying to pull the camera all the time, nobody was moody…
“I think the editing in some way was a little bit unfair because they showed some of lots of people and not very much of other people. But that just goes with the job unfortunately.
“You missed out on the really comedic side of AJ [Pritchard], who is the funniest person, but it didn’t tend to show that side of him apparently.”
Vernon continued: “Beverley’s right, they put together a group of personalities that they knew would get on because there was no friction.
“But I’ve heard from the inside there was a moment in Week 1 when they had a production meeting on how they could possibly turn it nasty.”
Beverley quickly told her pal: “I heard that too!”

Vernon continued: “[And] when they saw the viewing figures, they were like, ‘Why would we want to ruin it?’ And they let us go with it, they let us embrace each other instead of being fractious.”
Unfortunately for this year’s campmates, tensions have already begun to rise.
