I’M A Celebrity fans are getting fed-up with the constant whining in camp and have branded this year’s stars the most ‘bitchy’ ever.
The series has been marred by bullying claims, with many uncomfortable watching shamed MP Matt Hancock being targeted by the likes of Boy George and Sue Cleaver.
Matt Hancock has been given a hard time by campmates
Boy George is arguably the fieriest campmate
Charlene White has been called ‘selfish’ for not staying in the RV
Others have also criticised Loose Women’s Charlene White for her refusal to stay in the camp RV and Chris Moyles for his failure to bring back stars back to camp after Matt’s impressive hauls during his run of six consecutive trials.
One viewer wrote on Twitter: “For the first time ever I can’t remember a series of @imacelebrity that’s been SO spiteful & bitchy towards ONE person that’s actually been feeding the useless lumps all week on his own & the calmest nicest & braving all the nasty comments with dignified answers @MattHancock.”
A second posted: “Them all saying how easy Matt has been having it…..forgetting that he did every trial to start with….and the shock that both Mike and Owen expressed during their trial….what did they think was going to happen.”
A third said: “I’m getting bored of them whining like entitled teenagers against Matt. Damn they act as if A) Matt didn’t bust his butt winning stars for them B) he pulled the colors when Dec pulled the colored balls C) he demanded to sleep in RV he and Charlene won the game.”
Earlier in the week viewers were delighted when Matt finally broke free of being the Bushtucker Trial whipping boy.
Not only were they fed up with Matt taking centre stage, but they felt he’d been tormented enough in the gross and gruelling trials.
He soon became camp leader though, which has once again bolstered his screen time.
Sue Cleaver and Charlene White were heard talking after Matt’s final trial, commenting that the MP kept getting chosen because he “must be quite funny”.
Boy George and Mike Tindall had a similar conversation, with Mike lamenting being stuck in camp while Matt got to have a change of scenery at trials.
He said: “It does make our experience hard, because we’re always in here. We don’t get to do anything.”
