I’M A Celebrity fans have fumed its comeback show was only given an extra five minutes after being off air for three days.
Excited viewers tuned in to I’m A Celebrity which was forced off the airwaves last week due to extensive damage to its production village caused by Storm Arwen.
Production crew worked tirelessly to repair the damage the storm did to Gwrych Castle and get the show back on the telly.
I’m A Celeb did not air from November 27 to 29, 2021, because of the damage the storm caused to the set.
The celebrities were removed from Gwrych Castle in North Wales, and only essential crew remained on site.
The bad weather caused a tree to crash into the castle, leaving no option but to take the celebs to safety.
On tonight’s show, hosts Ant and Dec showed fans footage of the damage the storm wreaked on the I’m A Celeb production village.
Viewers saw how the temporary structures were brought down and the roof ripped off, as the hosts shouted out their thanks to the “lads and lasses” who worked tirelessly to get the show up and running again.
The Geordie lads also explained where the celebs stayed after they were ushered to safety from the storm.
“The celebs were taken to seperate locations with no phones, no internet, no TV and no access to the outside world,” Ant explained.
Tonight’s episode saw Kadeena Cox take on the Bed Chamber of Chills trial alongside Dame Arlene Phillips.
The pair had to carefully manoeuvre 11 stars through a maze while lying down in a black box while snakes crawled around them.
The Bed Chamber of Chills as the first Bushtucker trial for the Strictly judge and the Paralympic gold medallist, as well as their chance to secure a meal for camp.
They won 10 stars and made their campmates very happy with their efforts.
But then Kadeena faced some drama when music producer Naughty Boy, 40, lost his cool while making dinner.
Oxtail was on the menu thanks to Arlene Phillips, 78, and Kadeena’s efforts in the trial.
Naughty Boy told the Paralympian to chill while he prepared the meat, but she started to give him tips.
He said: “Kadeena please, I’m just working it out.”
While many fans were excited to see their favourite show back on air, many others realised the jam packed episode probably needed to be longer.
“I can’t believe tonight’s #ImACeleb is only on for 1 hour 5 minutes when it’s like 5 days of footage,” wrote one disgruntled fan on Twitter.
And another added: “I was hoping for more than only an hour & five minute episode after not getting one for three days.”
