But fans had been hoping to vote for Babatunde again after he spectacularly failed the last trial.

Taking to Twitter to vent their disappointment, one person wrote: “Babatunde exempt incase he fails miserably again !!! Fix.  #ImACeleb”

Another speculated: “Babatunde exempt from yet another trial really? Cos it would of been way too predictable him getting voted to do it after his latest failure?”

“How the f*** is babatunde exempt from doing the trial tonight. #ImACeleb,” moaned a third.

Despite fans questioning why he wasn’t taking part, it’s thought it’s because he is not a confident swimmer.

He was also exempt from Tentacles of Terror, which involved water.

The comedian had delighted those watching at home with his efforts alongside Boy George and Chris Moyles in the trial Angel Of Agony – as he struggled to literally get to grips with the stars.

The trio won just three out of the 11 available stars, with Baba saying: “I apologise man, this loss was on me.”

Dec said to him: “That was really frustrating to watch, it must have been frustrating to be a part of. Babatuunde what happened?”

He replied: “Look man, I had butterfingers today. I tried my best. Every time I got near to the top and I tried to pass it to Chris it just dropped. I’m annoyed at myself.”

When the trio then returned from the trial, Babatunde said in the Bush Telegraph: “I definitely feel like I let the team down, my campmates down… I just couldn’t get the hang of the trial today.”
