I’m A Celebrity trolls slam ‘pathetic’ celebs for crying after just TWO weeks away from home

FURIOUS I’m A Celebrity fans have labelled the show’s stars as ‘pathetic’ for crying over missing their families.

The trolls vented their frustration online saying most people haven’t seen their families in months due to the coronavirus pandemic and the celebs have only been away from theirs for a few weeks.

Giovanna Fletcher, 25, cried after missing out on a treat from her family on last night’s I’m A Celebrity

The backlash came after Giovanna Fletcher, 35, couldn’t hide her upset last night when she was just one of three celebrities to not be given a message from home in the castle – and the only one with children to miss out.

Giovanna, AJ Pritchard, and Jordan North were the only three celebrities out of 11 to not get the treat – with the campmates deciding who got each message.

AJ was reportedly very down the next day after not getting a treat, while other stars opened up about missing their families.

But online trolls branded the campmates “pathetic” over their tears, especially as they were getting paid to be there.

Many of the celebs have broken down at some point while in the castle

But critical trolls have slammed the stars calling them ‘self-indulgent’

Others said they were ‘pathetic’ because millions of people had been split up from their families this year

“This is the most self indulgent bull of all these shows… I’m a celeb with people crying when they haven’t seen family for a few weeks. They are not in jail or hostages, they are also paid extremely well for their (lack of) effort,” wrote one angry fan.

Another added: “They all sit there crying…and yet the majority of them go away on tour or have to work away.”

While a third said: “What we have here is a group of privileged celebrities who have been away from their multi-million pound homes and supportive families for a couple of weeks.”

Giovanna’s brother and Towie star, Mario Falcone, stood up for his sister.

They argued the stars had only been in there a couple of weeks and that wasn’t long enough to miss your family

In an exclusive chat with The Celeb Report, Mario said he would have “eaten sheep’s d***” if it meant he could run to his sister’s aid after she burst into tears when she missed out on getting a treat from her family.

“Last night I got upset, she’s my sister and I felt her pain as a parent. I felt her pain as a sibling,” he said.

Some trolls said they chose to be paid to be there and shouldn’t be complaining

But Mario Falcone – Giovanna’s brother – rushed to their defence saying two weeks in the castle would feel like a lot longer in real life

“You had the odd d***head last night asking why ‘Giovanna thinks she’s different to anyone else in there’, well she has three kids.

“If you don’t have kids you don’t understand. You’re literally missing a part of you.”

He added: “A couple of weeks in that environment feels like months, plus she was in isolation for two weeks before that.”

“It’s a long time not to be with your kids and have no contact.”
