I’M A Celeb was rocked by a series of threats that viewers were never shown, Boy George has revealed.
The star explained that he told ITV bosses he was leaving the show “a few times” when he didn’t get what he wanted.

Boy George said he threatened to walk out ‘a few times’
Speaking on I’m A Celeb’s Coming Out show – which airs tomorrow – George said: “I didn’t want to walk out, that was never an option. But I did threaten it a few times.”
He adds: “20 years ago, I would’ve been out of there on day one! I’d have said ‘Where’s Elton John? Get me a helicopter, send me a Versace helicopter.’”
It comes after The Celeb Report told how the singer was involved in an explosive row with the show’s crew over a golf buggy earlier this month.
George, 61, was refused a lift in the vehicle sparking a meltdown that saw him storm off, hide behind a tree and threaten to quit.
A source revealed at the time: “It was a proper temper tantrum, but George wasn’t backing down.”
The singer has been defiant since leaving I’m a Celeb, insisting his dramatics spiced up the show.
He tweeted: “I was cast as the Bond villian but I shook off the role once the footage was in the can!”
Among the moments that were shown on screen was his blunt conversation with Matt Hancock, 44, where he accused the MP of giving him a “funny look”.
After branding the former Health Secretary “slippery” he told him to his face: “I have been hating on you, I have to be honest.
“I sometimes feel like you don’t say what you mean and you’re not particularly direct.”
He went on: “I’m trying to separate you as a human being and you as a politician and I’m struggling with it.
“We don’t share the same politics. I am struggling a little bit with you. That’s not your problem, that’s my problem.
“I apologise because I was really slagging you off a minute ago.”
Despite the exchange, the pair have seemed increasingly friendly since leaving the show.
Matt was even filmed kissing Boy George on the cheek as the camp was reunited after footballer Jill Scott was crowned the winner.
I’m A Celeb’s class of 2022 open up on the Coming Out show, which airs on ITV1 tomorrow night at 9.15pm.
