The Rainy Reality of the Jungle
Nick Pickard, the fourth contestant to be voted out of I'm A Celebrity, has spilled some behind-the-scenes secrets from the show. Speaking about the conditions of the camp, Nick revealed that it rained for 12 out of the 19 days he was there, including a non-stop downpour for 48 hours. The campmates had to huddle in the Bush Telegraph, the only reinforced area in the camp, to protect themselves from lightning.
The Sneaky Canopy
Despite the canopy placed over the camp, rain still managed to seep through and cause discomfort for the contestants. Nick explained that the rain would come in from the side when the weather was tropical, making their living conditions even more challenging.
The Weight Loss Challenge
It's no secret that contestants on I'm A Celebrity often shed a significant amount of weight during their time in the jungle. Nick shared that he lost a total of three pounds and revealed that all campmates go through regular weigh-ins. The weight restrictions during trials, such as the Critter Mixer, require the contestants to be mindful of their weight. However, the medic wouldn't show Nick his weight on the scales, leaving him curious until he left the show.
Time Is a Mystery
Another secret revealed by Nick is that the producers don't allow the campmates to know what time it is while they are in the Australian outback. This lack of awareness can be overwhelming when they leave the camp, as they have no idea of the time. Nick mentioned that the crew members wear plasters on their watches or don't wear watches at all to avoid giving away the time to the contestants.
Nick Pickard was voted out of I'm A Celebrity on Wednesday's episode, becoming the fourth campmate to be eliminated from the Australian jungle. Despite the challenges and secrets behind the scenes, the show continues to captivate audiences as celebrities compete for survival and face their fears.
