I’m a Celeb’s Vernon Kay catches fish guts in a bucket on his head as part of vile trial

VERNON Kay and Giovanna Fletcher ended up covered in fish guts – but got all eight stars for camp.

As part of trial Cart-astrophy, the duo had to transfer castle nasties from barrels to boxes using a special helmet.

The gutsy performance won him and Giovanna Fletcher eight star for the camp

They were told they were playing for pub grub, that was served as The Castle Inn.

Giovanna got onto the cart which carried barrels of fish guts, offal and other castle nasties.

She threw the gunk in large handfuls into Vernon’s helmet and then guided him over to the containers, directing him to stop and lower his head in order to transfer it from the helmet. Host Dec Donnelly told them: “Well that took guts.”

The stars rattled out karaoke in the castle’s makeshift pub.

After sitting down for a full roast, and drinks, Shane Richie started off by singing The Jam’s A Town Called Malice.

Jordan North sang I Will Survive by Gloria Gaynor, while Jessica led a singalong of Mariah Carey’s All I Want For Christmas.

Olympic hero Sir Mo Farah duetted with Shane on Spandau Ballet’s Gold, while Giovanna Fletcher and Vernon Kay teamed up on Backstreet Boys’ Everybody.

Jordan North was left gutted after his closest pal in the castle, Beverley Callard, was sent home on Monday night.

He cried as Strictly’s AJ Pritchard comforted him. Jordan said: “I was gutted that Beverley left. I really was. I was pretty shocked.

“We clicked from day one and she’s a beautiful person inside and outside. I’m going to miss her, I really am.”

The celebrities mixed old bananas into their breakfast to try and increase their energy levels.

Jess Plummer revealed: “The tiredness, the lack of energy has spread to the whole camp.”

While Vernon Kay says he has lost weight in the castle.

He added: “It is what it is and Christmas is around the corner.”
