Inside Coronation Street star Vicky Entwhistle’s incredible £8k a WEEK holiday home that’s worlds away from the cobbles

TELLY fans are splashing out up to £8590-a-week to stay in an idyllic country cottage owned by Corrie legend Vicky Entwistle.

And the two-bedroom bolthole is a far cry from the poky terrace Vicky – who played gobby Janice Battersby – shared with hubby Les and their two on-screen kids.

In fact, Vicky – who lives next door – loves the place so much she prefers it to her main home because she doesn’t row with her hubby.

She shared snaps of the retreat in rural Lancashire on social media and told fans: “If any of my fellow gorgeous tweeters fancy a little holiday in our cute cottage then please check it out on Sykes Cottages. Pendleton Village.

“We adore it, so cosy and magical… but then we are biased. I don’t want to live in the big house. I want to live here! Everything is so much simpler. We don’t argue for starters!”

And would-be guests are told:  “Nestled beneath beautiful Pendle Hill ,a walkers paradise offering phenomenal panoramic views and home of the Lancashire Witches you will find the picturesque hamlet of Pendleton where this Chocolate Box cottage sits enjoying a quaint doorstep stream with an award winning CAMRA pub a stone’s throw away.

“The property is ideal for Romantic couples wishing to get away from it all in the Countryside or indeed a little family of three. Leave your vehicle on the road lane in front of this ivy draped holiday cottage of utter cuteness, where you will enter in to the Living/dining room.

“Unwind on the plush sofas as the wood burning stove crackles. Stepping through the property locate the compact kitchen; here you can make use of the electric oven and halogen hob as well as the washing machine to keep your clothes fresh.

“A stable door leads out to a private patio dining area from which you can enjoy alfresco evenings.

“Continue on a little path to find your own secluded well-manicured Garden with a garden day bed to relax upon whilst enjoying the Sunshine. As the day draws to a close head inside and upstairs to enjoy a cosy night’s sleep in either a double or single bedroom.

“A delightful village pub sits opposite offering real ales and hearty home cooked food.”

Vicky – who now regularly stars in panto – joined Coronation Street 25 years and left in 2011.

In 2020 she broke down in tears when she was reunited with her former on-screen husband Bruce Jones on Loose Women.

The pals were very emotional as recovering alcoholic Bruce thanked Vicky for getting him through “bad times” – and says he “owes her so much”.

The actors hadn’t seen each other for five years and were overwhelmed as they appeared on a video call.

Seeing her again for the first time, Bruce said: “You look absolutely beautiful, you’ve never changed. I’m nearly in tears looking at you, the memories are flooding back.

“I owe Vicky so much. Especially for the bad time I was going through, because you helped me through a lot. Thank you very much for that.”

Moved by his words, Vicky said: “I promised myself I wouldn’t cry…”

She dabbed her face as tears fell thinking back to the bad times Bruce faced while battling alcoholism.

The actor was drinking 15 pints a day and wanted to take his own life after losing both of his homes.

He was warned his drinking would kill him – but now Bruce has turned his life around.

Vicky recently clashed with her on-screen daughter Jane Danson over criticism of Oliver’s death storyline.
