NEWS anchor Dan Walker waved goodbye to the BBC as he hosted his last breakfast show earlier this week.
The much-loved star had a huge bash to celebrate leaving the broadcaster ahead of his move over to Channel 5.
Dan, 45, took to Instagram to document the party, thrown for him by his friends and colleagues at the BBC, after his final show on Monday.
He could be seen posing for photos in the BBC Breakfast studios alongside his co-hosts, Louise Minchin and Sally Nugent.
The star had been gifted a hilarious red cake – fit with him dressed as a large lobster on top of the iconic red BBC sofa.
The cake offered up a nod to Dan’s time on Strictly Come Dancing, where he danced in a lobster costume alongside Nadiya Bychkova.

The BBC Breakfast team also gifted him a giant inflatable lobster to take home, which Dan enthusiastically posed with.
“Thank you so much for the amazingly kind messages today,” he wrote to his followers. “It’s been a pleasure and a privilege.”
“It was a bit weird travelling home with a giant lobster in the car though,” he added, showing himself behind the wheel.
Dan followed up with another photo of himself smiling while holding his cake – made by one of the BBC team.
Dan’s leaving celebrations were concluded with a big gathering at a bar – where he was joined by “friends and family”.
The star stood on a table to take a selfie alongside the masses of guests, who waved their hands in the air.
Among them were TV presenter Gethin Jones, his co-host Sally and fellow BBC Breakfast presenter Naga Munchetty.
“What a wonderful evening with friends and family at my leaving do tonight,” Dan wrote. “So many surprises and so much fun.
“Thanks to everyone who came. I will miss you all.”
It comes after BBC Breakfast viewers broke down in tears as Dan Walker bid farewell to the show after six years.
Monday’s show marked Dan’s last, after he announced last month that he was leaving the BBC for a new role at Channel 5.
Dan admitted he had only managed to have “two hours and 46 minutes” of sleep the night before after some “travel issues”, but still looked perky on his last show.
He started to say goodbye to his colleagues as well as being shown his best bits and messages of support.
