DANNY Dyer and Mark Wright might be favourites with their fans but there’s historic bad blood behind their cheeky smiles.
Ex EastEnders star Danny, 45, and former TOWIE hunk Mark, 36, are both set to return to TV screens soon.
Mark Wright’s bitter feud with Danny Dyer has resurfaced after the pair both bagged new telly deals
The duo’s bad blood involves physical and verbal altercations and social media spats
Mark will front The Challenge: UK while Danny has roles in Cheat for Netflix and drama Heat for Channel 5.
Yet their bitter spat spanning the last few years has now been re-discovered.
It came after Danny, who is dad to former Love Island winner Dani Dyer, locked horns with Mark and his pals in an explosive physical and verbal row at V Festival back in 2016 – with Mark denying he was involved in the actual scuffle.
The pair came to blows at Hylands Park in Chelmsford and Danny was jumped in a five-on-one punch up against Mark’s friends backstage.
The Mick Carter actor was left with a nasty-looking black eye that was visible in his festival snaps.
Meanwhile, the spat escalated when mum of one Dani, who was 20 at the time, appeared to have been caught in the crossfire.
Danny issued an angry Tweet to Mark demanding to know which of his pals had “squared up” to the reality star.
Their long-running feud erupted just a few days after the EastEnders star got into a Twitter row with Mark’s brother over a comment he made dissing the DJ’s radio station and recent ad campaign for yoghurt.
He tweeted: “My worst nightmare would be listening to Heart FM while eating an Oykos yoghurt. It would be like p***ing razorblades.”
Mark’s brother Joshua wasn’t going to let the comment slide and replied, referring to Danny’s hated nickname, he wrote: “Malcolm you must still be hurting from when Mark gave you a slap in the changing room that day.”
Before this social media row with Mark’s brother, Danny made a dig at Mark during an interview with Digital Spy back in 2013.
He said he once got mistaken for him while eating in a café and added: “It put me right off my beans. Again, I don’t know him, but he’s everything I hate about this whole celebrity world.
“It’s mainly because of some of his quotes saying he wants to be the next James Bond. If he’s the next James Bond, it’s over for me. It’s the arrogance of it all – it irritates me. Mark’s not up my street, he’ll never be a mate of mine. Good luck to him, just stay away from me.”
