But now Shane, who plays Alfie Moon in the soap, wants to build a swanky open atrium over the hall and a first floor gallery.

Shane, 58, has applied to the local council for planning permission to demolish his porch and a single storey front extension.

He wants to replace it with a new two-storey extension and build a first floor rear extension for a bigger bedroom, and a roof extension to boot.

If planners at the local council give the go-ahead, it will be Shane’s THIRD extension since he bought the property in 2008.

He was first granted planning permission for a first floor bedroom extension to create a dressing area.

The former I’m a Celebrity star was then given the green light for a rear orangery despite an objection from a neighbour, saying it was ‘over-development’.

And in 2015, he was allowed a single storey rear extension despite officials saying the property had already been ‘significantly’ extended since it was built.

They said: ‘The dwelling is a large two-storey detached house set in a generous plot. The current building has been significantly extended.

‘The extension would be located to the rear and would be proportionate in size, design and scale to the original dwelling and of an acceptable appearance.’

Shane’s latest plans have been labelled ‘Shane’s extension’ in papers filed at the local council.

Officials are expected to make a decision in March and there have so far been no objections from neighbours.

Shane paid £1.1million for the pad in 2008 but it is now believed to be worth about £2m following his home improvements.
