PIERS Morgan certainly isn’t short of places to put his feet up since quitting Good Morning Britain in March – owning a plush London townhouse, huge country abode and Hollywood mansion.
The 56-year-old star sensationally left the ITV morning stalwart after he refused to apologise for his comments about Meghan Markle in light of her and Prince Harry’s candid Oprah interview.
Since leaving the show, Piers initially enjoyed a slower pace of life and was seen enjoying several rounds of golf, attending Epsom races alongside pal Simon Cowell and even attending England’s Euros 2020 final against Italy – where he contracted Covid.
After a long recovery, the journo is busier than ever, taking on new columns at the Sun and the New York Post. He also recently landed in the UK to launch his new TalkTV show.
His work schedule packed once more, Piers needs somewhere to unwind after a long day. Let’s take a look at the impressive East Sussex and Los Angeles pads – worth a staggering £8.9million – where he can chill.
His £4million London town house
The 55-year-old has lived in his five-bedroom Grade II listed home Kensington townhouse with wife Celia Walden and 10-year-old daughter Elise Morgan since 2009.
At the time, the former Britain’s Got Talent judge bought the property from his father-in-law George Walden, the former Tory MP, for £4 million.
Based on a pretty tree-lined street, Piers’ Georgian home includes many lovely features including French windows that lead onto a private balcony – perfect for alfresco dining.
Piers captioned the photo: “What a perfect, balmy autumn evening in West London. English weather never fails to surprise.”
Elsewhere in the house, the journalist has displayed pieces of art he’s picked up along the way – including a huge drawing of dancing legend Fred Astaire.
Captioning the monochrome drawing of the star, he wrote: “‘Do it big, do it right and do it with style.”
“Bought Fred in a St Tropez flea market and finally had him framed & put up. Sadly Ginger had just been separately sold.”
One of the photos shows Celia as she walks up the stairs showing the beautiful banisters of the property and the huge stained glass windows that look over the staircase.
Piers, a former America’s Got Talent judge, is a big fan of all things stateside. In an interview he revealed he’d snapped up an original flag seen in the background of one shot.
Costing £5,000 it only features 34 stars, representing 34 states, which means it could have only been fashioned in the Civil War between 1861 to 1863 under president Lincoln.
Previously, Piers showcased the outside of his property when he posed alongside his parked Aston Martin.
The pretty tree lined street is typical of the area, which features wrought iron gates and white frontage that leans toward properties from the Georgian era.
His £700,000 Sussex home
When Piers, Celia and Elise get bored of the city they can hop in the Aston – lockdown-permitting – and drive out to their sprawling abode in Newick, East Sussex.
The white property boasts ivy climbing up the walls and over the doors. It features a huge backyard with a swimming pool – plus a large gravel driveway for his car collection.
The dining room features rather traditional decor of oak furniture and pine tables, which is contrasted with the lounge areas which shows his cream sofas, floral cushions and blankets.
He also has family photos on display, artwork and a humongous book shelf.
The sprawling estate is perfect for summer parties with lots of outdoor furniture including a wooden dining area and rattan sofas.
The affluent East Sussex area sees most four and five bedroom detached homes go for £700,000 to £1.4 million.
His £4.2 million Hollywood mansion
Aside from his idyllic British properties, Piers also owns a £4.2 million Beverly Hills mansion.
The broadcaster splits his time between the UK and his jaw-dropping 5 bed, 5 bathroom property – that even boasts its own staff room for the help – when not fronting Good Morning Britain.
The sprawling estate’s garden is loaded with celebrity touches, including a sprawling swimming pool and an outdoor bar.
The outdoor space provides the ultimate oasis with Spanish inspired tiles, an array of tropical plants and a large table for al fresco dining.
Inside the house is every bit as luxurious with large bedrooms that boast decadent furnishings such as four-poster beds and chaise lounges.
Guests can also have their pick of bathrooms as the house boasts five toilets – one of which boasts a whirlpool bath and a his ‘n’ hers sink.
On the rare chance it rains in California, Piers – who’s worth an estimated £13 million – can entertain visitors in his fully-stocked indoor bar.
The bar possesses English charm with its wood-panelled walls and a small pendulum clock.
The kitchen is also classic with wooden units and marble worktops – though the huge double fridge is arguably the focal point of the room.
Piers’ living room also offers plenty of space for wife Celia, sons Spencer, Albert and Stanley and daughter Elise to chill with its three sofas.
Of course, one lounge is never enough when you’re a celeb with Piers’ pad also boasting another plush reception room.
