The newlyweds celebrated with friends and family at the 14th century Castle of Falconara which overlooks the Mediterranean Sea.

The location holds special memories for the pair as it’s where Graziano used to take Giada on dates.

The party started the night before the wedding, with the happy couple throwing a pizza party for the community.

Graziano and Giada – who live in London also have a house near Venice – were due to get married in 2020 but had the wedding cancelled twice due to Covid.

The bride walked down the aisle arm in arm with her father Mauro to the traditional song of Here Comes the Bride.

They exchanged wedding rings, a mixture of yellow gold with a white gold band, before Graziano lifted back her veil and shared a tender kiss at the altar.

The groom revealed that his Strictly co-star Johannes Radebe was supposed to be his best man, though the dancer is said to have been unable to travel due to visa issues.

The pair were joined by a host of famous faces including Strictly co-star Nadiya Bychkova, presenter Karim Zeroual and comedian Judi Love.

The newlyweds emerged from the church hand-in-hand, walking through flower arches along a white carpet.

The pair were greeted with a mini-festival featuring traditional folk dancing and music.

The locals lined the street to support Graziano and Giada on their special day.

He told OK! Magazine: “I didn’t expect so many people to be in the piazza – there was so much love from my town. […] The fact I was back after all these years was the most memorable moment of my life.”

The groom said: “I tried to be strong all day but I couldn’t stop crying because of the love I feel for Giada. When I saw her arrive in the horse and carriage I started to cry.”

The dancer said he cried more when his bride walked down the aisle – but was supported by him mum who reassuringly squeezed his elbow.

“The fact we were in Sicily, my town, after two years of postponing the wedding with all our family and our friends to witness – it was a feeling so strong,” Graziano continued.

Giada said she was “crying too” and had “dreamt about this day for such a long time” and said that she felt like a princess.

They topped off their fairytale wedding with a horse and carriage ride to the wedding reception at the castle, where A Whole New World was played upon their entrance.

“I used to reach my hand inside the gate to see if we could get into the castle but it was always locked. We never imagined then that we’d have the money to rent it for our wedding,” she said.

Their guests were treated to a selection of dishes including octopus, dough balls and mini burgers.

The wedding party then headed outside to enjoy the breathtaking scenery near a lake covered with fairy lights, with a dance floor and live band.

The newlyweds enjoyed a magical first dance Ed Sheeran’s Perfect, before a short fireworks display and entertainment from a magician.

The guests then formed a flash mob to surprise the couple with masks of the Graziano and Giada faces.

Giada then swapped dresses around midnight and returned to cut their chocolate, vanilla and pistachio wedding cake.
