YOU’D have to be made of stone for your heart not to melt when Strictly star Tom Fletcher and wife Giovanna post a cute selfie together.
The famous couple – who share three children – are childhood sweethearts who are still totally smitten with each other.
But as All About You hitmaker Tom gets ready to show off his dance skills on tonight’s Strictly launch show, it’s emerged that a long time before they were married and had kids, the pair had a secret split.
Despite them being couple goals, they did suffer a break-up once and spent 14 months apart, Giovanna previously revealed.
She talked about how she struggled to get Tom off her mind – which made her realise that he was “the one”.
Recalling back to their pre-wedded life, the podcaster told The Celeb Report’s Fabulous magazine that she even had a different boyfriend during the time.
Giovanna even jetted off to Namibia to take part in some charity work and still couldn’t stop thinking about Tom.
She said: “I remember being in Namibia and thinking about Tom more than I did my boyfriend.”
Giovanna also shared how when she was introduced to Tom’s McFly bandmates how they let slip that she was always on Tom’s mind too.
“When I met the McFly boys for the first time, Dougie (Poynter) said to me ‘He literally talks about you non-stop’.”
Needless to say the couple got back together and the rest is history.
Tom and Giovanna’s love story started when they met whilst studying at the prestigious Sylvia Young Theatre School in London aged 13.
They were destined to be together when they were chosen by the school to sit together in classes due to their surnames both beginning with ‘F’.
Giovanna and Tom tied the knot in 2012 after getting engaged the previous year.
At the reception, Tom famously performed a mash-up of McFly’s hits and uploaded the adorable performance to his YouTube channel.
The smitten couple now share three sons – Buzz, Buddy and Max – and they couldn’t be happier.
