Her family and friends crowded into a huge restaurant to watch the final of the BBC show

Harpreet, 30, posed beneath a huge balloon arch and showed off a restaurant full of her nearest and dearest all watching a big screen.

Later, the room erupted when Sir Alan pointed his famous finger at her and said “Harpreet, you’re my business partner” and she was lifted up into the air by cheering family.

The Huddersfield star looked glam in a pencil skirt and blouse and with a glass of bubbly in hand.

She was even pictured alongside her sister and co-owner of the business Gurvinder Kaur, who was revealed to viewers when Claude Littner discovered Harpreet was not the sole boss of her business.

Harpreet wracked up an impressive 9/11 wins for the series and was never called back into the boardroom by her fellow candidates.

The hard-worker said toiling in her parents’ shop had given her the confidence to succeed.

Sugar said he liked the fact she was “a bit of a bossy boots” but Harpreet said she was a timid child, something chatting to shop customers helped her overcome.

The budding businesswoman said the hard graft she put in at mum and dad Jas and Pete’s corner store in Brighouse, West Yorks, also helped her towards her victory.

She said: “I’ve worked really, really hard to get to this point. I’ve been at it full time since I was 18.

“I was so shy when I was younger and I found it difficult but having to work in the shop behind the till speaking to lots of different people probably did me the world of good.

“I don’t think you could say I’m shy now. I’ve obviously come out of my shell. I was born to take control and I’m always right!”

Harpreet and pyjama business owner Kathryn had to wait six months to find out who would come out top on the BBC show.

Thrilled Harpreet, who plans to scale up her Oh So Yum! brand, said: “The final boardroom was a bit of a surreal, out-of-body experience for me because that’s the moment I was waiting for.

“When the other candidates left and it was just me and Kathryn I got quite emotional.

“I couldn’t believe I was there, and Lord Sugar decided I’d be his business partner. It was brilliant. I’ll always remember that moment. Onwards and upwards now.”

Generous Kathryn had no hard feelings about the result and said Harpreet was a worthy winner.

She told The Celeb Report: “Throughout the process she was amazing and didn’t let up once.

“She did everything. Every time she put her mind to something she’d absolutely smash it. She really did deserve to win.”

Sir Alan, 75, said his decision was “very, very difficult”.
