From April 4 to April 7, 2022, Champion will be on GMA in the morning and on Eyewitness News during the afternoon, according to Distractify.
He will be reporting on the weather for both programs but doesn’t have a permanent spot on the network again.
Champion has been filling in for Ginger Zee, the current chief meteorologist on GMA, while she covers the tornadoes in Jackson, Mississippi.
Champion also covered for Zee while she was on maternity leave in 2016 and again in 2018, according to People.
