Sue Cleaver will be taking part in this year’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here
Is Sue Cleaver married?
Sue Cleaver is married to lighting technician Brian Owen.
The couple first met on the cobbles while working on Coronation Street.
The happily married couple live with their adorable crossbreed dog George Paws.
Before Sue and Married walked down the aisle, she was previously married to fellow actor James Quinn.
James has appeared in a number of TV soaps, including Coronation Street, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks.
Other roles include playing Phil in Early Doors, Mr Briggs in Gentleman Jack, and appearing in Fat Friends as another cop, PC Robert Rhymer
Sue and James wed in 1993 and spent 10 years together before divorcing in 2003.
However, despite going their separate ways, the former couple have remained “good friends” since their break-up.
In 2009, the pair even worked together on a short play ironically titled Marriages Made in Heaven.
Speaking about working with his ex-wife, James told The Manchester Evening News at the time: “It’s quite funny to be doing this with Sue.
“Although we got divorced, we get on well. But [before this] we haven’t acted together on stage since we first met in a play in 1991.”
Does Sue Cleaver have children?
Sue shares one son with her former husband James Quinn.
The pair reportedly welcomed their son Elliot in in 1998.
Aside from this information, not much is known about their son.
It seems as though Elliot prefers a more private life and leaves the spotlight to his mum and dad.
Who does Sue Cleaver play in Coronation Street?
Sue Cleaver plays Eileen Grimshaw on the ITV soap – a role which she has played since 2000.
However, this was not her first time she was cast on the cobbles.
Sue first appeared on the soap as Sister Treece in July 1994 before reappearing in her regular role as Eileen Grimshaw in May 2000.
The actress took a short break from the role in 2018, however she came back to keep playing the role of Eileen – a single mum to Jason and Todd.
Her on-screen son Todd became the soap’s first gay character.
Throughout the years, viewers of the popular soap have seen Eileen gets herself involved in several relationships including her short-lived marriage to killer Pat Phelan.
Eilleen has also been in a continuous feud with Gail Platt, who is played by Helen Worth.
