Can ex girlfriend Alya help Ryan come to terms with his injuries?

The distressing scenes showed Daisy rush Ryan to the shower and cut his clothes off his skin while burning her own fingers.

As they are connected by the horrifying events, viewers think they would be a great couple to support each other through their trauma.

Daisy is currently engaged to Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) who has been there for Daisy during her stalking ordeal.

Meanwhile Ryan’s ex Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) has told Ryan she wants to help him on his long journey ahead as he comes to terms with his life-changing injuries.

But could Daisy and Ryan grow closer after their traumatic experience?

Viewers seem to think Ryan and Daisy would make the perfect pair and have undeniable chemistry.

Talking on a Digital Spy forum, one fan wrote: “I’m liking the Ryan and Daisy scenes… even before the acid scenes (the week heading up) but the acid ones have been really good.

“Ryan only letting Daisy be there (to see her go to meet him) and thanking her and acknowledging how she helped him even as she got some of it and could burn her fingers… I guess they have a connection now.”

Another agreed: “I never thought Ryan and Alya worked as a couple. He has better chemistry with Daisy.”

Meanwhile other fans have asked the ITV soap for Ryan’s mum Michelle Connor (played by Kym Marsh) to return.

One said: “The writers should bring his mother, Michelle, back to see him, if only for a short while.”

Another chimed in: “Why not do the acid storyline when there is a chance of Michelle coming back to the show or they could have chosen another character to be hit with the acid instead.”

Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays on ITV1 from 8pm.
