ITV newsreader Katie Ridley has received an outpouring of support from fans after she was targeted by a troll who body-shamed her.
Katie refuses to be bullied and blocks hateful messages
Katie Ridley, who presents for Good Morning Britain's Anglia service, took to social media to share the hurtful message she received from the viewer. In response, she stated that she refuses to be bullied off TV and will block anyone who directs hate towards her.
Kind messages from fans flood in
Katie's supporters quickly rallied around her, flooding her with kind messages to counter the negativity. One fan wrote, "No one gets to talk about the Pride of St Neots like this. You are a brilliant newsreader and a gorgeous person in every possible sense of the word." Another fan expressed their disbelief at the hate, stating, "It never ceases to amaze me how sad and damaged people must be to post such hate."
