Three Major Shows Fail to Secure Nominations
This year's BAFTA TV Award nominations have been revealed, and it's bad news for ITV. Three of the network's biggest shows - Emmerdale, This Morning, and I'm A Celebrity - have all failed to secure a nomination, causing quite a shock in the industry.
This Morning and I'm A Celebrity Snubbed
This Morning, under the hosting of Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley, failed to secure a nomination in the Best Daytime Show category for the second year in a row. Similarly, I'm A Celebrity, fronted by Ant and Dec, also missed out on any recognition this year, leaving ITV without any nominations in the reality category.
Surprise Success for BBC Two
On the other hand, BBC Two saw success in the category with Clive Myrie's Caribbean Adventure and Richard Osman's House of Games both receiving nominations, adding to the competition.
Coronation Street Represents ITV in Soap Category
While Emmerdale was missing from the nominations list, Coronation Street will represent ITV in the soap category. The network's ratings winner, Coronation Street, will face off against EastEnders and Casualty for the prestigious award.

Ant and Dec Still in the Running
Despite the disappointments for their shows, Ant and Dec managed to secure a nomination for Entertainment Performance for their roles on Saturday Night Takeaway, competing against other popular hosts for the award.
