Demi first noticed the lump back in 2019, but it was only after her stint on the ITV dating show that she decided to get it checked.

After a year-long battle, the redhead beauty was finally told she was cancer free and has given us an update on how she’s been feeling.

Speaking exclusively to The Celeb Report at the No7 Pro Derm Scan launch party, Demi said: “I got the all-clear before Christmas…

“I think I’m just learning to adapt with my body and the hormones.

“I’ve got really bad mood swings, my weight is fluctuating, I’m trying to balance it.”

“The Full Monty was huge because everyone had gone through a similar thing or knew someone and it was really reassuring.”

Thyroid cancer develops in your thyroid gland, which is located in your neck, and is usually noticed when a lump forms there.

The cells within the thyroid grow too quickly and create a lump.

There are four types which include: papillary carcinoma, follicular carcinoma, medullary thyroid carcinoma, anaplastic thyroid carcinoma.

Back in April 2021 April broke down in tears as she revealed that she had found a lump.

She had to undergo emergency surgery to have the potentially cancerous lump that was the size of a gold-ball removed from her neck, and was later told that she had cancer.

Demi was only diagnosed following months of delayed appointments due to the pandemic and after pushing doctors for further tests.

Over the past year, the influencer has been very open with fans about her journey and regularly kept them updated.

And in December last year she received the news that she had been hoping for – that there was “not a single cancer cell left” in her body.

Demi told her 1.2million followers: “I’M CANCER FREE! I did it!

“I got my full body scan results back and there’s not a single cancer cell left in my body.

“It’s been such a difficult year mentally and physically for me with my surgeries and treatment but I’m beyond grateful for everyone’s kindness and support over this past year.

“I will continue to be an advocate for cancer awareness and all my love and strength goes out to those who continue to fight this awful disease, here’s to a healthy and happy 2022.”

Most recently Demi, who has recently split from boyfriend Miami, took part in ITV’s Strictly The Real Full Monty, a show which will see her strip off in the hopes of raising awareness of cancer.

On the programme she revealed that her step dad Adrian had also been diagnosed with stage four melanoma.

The star gave us an update on how he is.

Demi said: “He is still going through his treatment, he’ll never be cured but he’s doing well.

“Now the Full Monty’s aired, people actually ask about my stepdad now which is nice.”
