Reality star Lisa admitted that she is desperate for her son to strike up a romance with a very famous TV presenter.

Speaking exclusively to The Celeb Report, Joe said: “I’ve always said bringing someone home here is going to be a challenge.”

He laughed: “I wouldn’t want to do it.”

“I’ve always wanted to settle down and have a nice house, Range Rover and a dog, like a typical Essex boy,” Joe explained.

“But I’ve made some rotten choices, just really bad exes and I’ve made really bad decisions.”

Lisa said: “They’ve been nice but it’s not a sustainable relationship and I know what you should be going for rather than what you usually go for.”

The podcast host – who has teamed up with teamed up with dating app Badoo to launch Family-Approved, a set of in-app features that lets your nearest and dearest ‘big you up’ on your dating profile – said he’s now ready to meet his match.

Joe continued: “I notice that I get with someone and they tend to unravel – someone will seem so put together and then I’ll introduce them and bring them into my life,” while Lisa added: “They’re probably just on their best behaviour.”

Joe revealed what qualities his future partner should have and joked he has a rather long tick-list.

He said: “Right now I’d say I’m quite picky – I’m sat there with my friends and family and I’m reading out the list thinking ‘am I ever going to meet anyone’.

“It boils down to the person – it has to be someone who is supportive, family orientated, driven and ultimately someone who has their s*** together – It would be nice to have someone grounded.

“I couldn’t have someone like me, that would be hell.”

He continued: “At the minute I don’t get the time to date, I want to skip the dating bit of the people you don’t like.”

While the duo also revealed their red flags in a partner.

Joe said anyone rude to service personnel would be an instant turn-off and added: “Someone who’s not driven and unmotivated is a red flag and anyone that gaslights.”

Lisa said: “The person should have the same values and someone who is close to their family and parents.”

The new updates have been put to the test by the Gogglebox stars – who have created a crash course in getting your profile parent-polished and family-approved.

Joe said: “Mum is doing a great job, I needed all the help I could get. I would say at this point mum knows me better than I do.”

Lisa said: “He needs a nice person in his life and I’m very good at knowing what he likes – he’s made some shocking horrible choices but it’s all positive and all good and we’re going to find you someone nice.”

His doting mum admitted she is keen for her son to date someone famous in the industry – taking a particular liking to TV favourite Rylan.

“I want him to go for someone older who is established, who has a good job. Joe’s nature is to look after everyone, he wants to look after me and his dad but I would like someone to do that for him<” she said.

“Just someone who can nurture him a little bit as he tends to do that in a relationship.

“I want him to date someone really famous – I think you need to be with someone in the same industry because I don’t think your past partners have understood that you have to go there and do this at the drop of the hat. I do think you’d be better off with someone in the industry.”

Joe joked: “We all know who you want me to be with…”

Lisa replied: “Rylan,” while Joe added: “She wants me to go on a date with Rylan.”

“He’s a lovely lovely person, that’s the kind of guy I want Joe to be with,” she gushed.

But Joe admitted he doesn’t have a type, saying: “Everyone that’ a bit shorter than me with brown hair or the tall dark and handsome, Italian looking. But I’ve not seen anyone like that.”

If all things fail, Joe said he’d be up for taking part on a dating show like E4‘s Celebs Go Dating.

He added: “I definitely would, if it is on the table and there is a chance to give it a go, I think I would. They might know better than I would.”

It comes as new research from Badoo reveals a staggering 71 per cent of singles find it tricky to sell themselves on dating apps, while over half (56 per cent) think someone else could do a better job for them.
