Comedian Jack Whitehall, 35, is facing criticism from social media fans following the release of a video featuring his newborn baby. Just a week after welcoming his first child with partner Roxy Horner, the actor has raised eyebrows with his parenting antics.
Questionable Parenting Moves
In the video, which was shared on social media, Whitehall can be seen dancing to the music of the band Westlife while holding his baby girl. Sporting casual clothes, he sways back and forth while cradling his newborn in front of him, seemingly in his element as he attempts to rock her to sleep.
In the caption, Whitehall wrote, "When the only thing to stop her crying is to dance with her to Westlife."
Concerned Fans
However, fans were quick to voice their concerns about the video. Some suggested that the baby could develop motion sickness, while others anxiously warned Whitehall not to drop the child. One comment read, "He's making me sweat as he's not holding her very safely - sorry I know I'm being a Karen."
Another fan explained, "She'll be terrified you're going to drop her – that's why she's stopped crying. She's on high alert."
Mixed Reactions
While some fans expressed their unease and worry, others didn't seem to have any concerns. One supporter gushed, "Absolutely love this," while another commented, "Just the start of a lifetime of dancing with her, nothing beats the joy of dancing with your kids."
Welcoming Their Bundle of Joy
Recently, Jack Whitehall shared the first photos of his newborn baby in the hospital. Alongside the milestone pictures, he hinted at the baby's name and expressed his joy. He wrote, "Well this just happened! Utterly overwhelming and joyous in ways I couldn't have even imagined. In awe of my partner @roxyhorner who has been amazing throughout this journey and is going to be the greatest mum ever. So excited to have started a family of my own."
Jack Whitehall and partner Roxy Horner are now the proud parents of a baby girl.
