In a meaningful speech on stage at The London Palladium last week, Jake spoke candidly about the effects of social media after his LinkedIn post received some snarky responses from trolls.

The TV star was hosting the High Performance show after transforming his chart-topping podcast into a high impact, dynamic and interactive live show at the iconic venue alongside expert Damian Hughes.

The star-studded first night reflected on deeper conversations around the effects that social media has on people – particularly the impact it has had on Jake and his family.

Jake insisted that our struggles are not something we should avoid in our lives and failure is what makes us stronger.

He said on stage in front of stars including Steven Bartlett and Anna Williamson on the night: “Nothing is fixed, nothing is permanent.

“If you’re going through a bad time at the moment, it isn’t permanent.

“If you’re going through a great time at the moment, it isn’t permanent. Life isn’t permanent.”

The show was jam-packed with enlivening theatrics, entertainment, inspirational talks and in-depth Q&As.

Additionally guests at The London Palladium watched live music from acclaimed singer, songwriter and producer Kye Sones, who is responsible for hits such as BRIT-nominated ‘Remember’ by Becky Hill and David Guetta.

Joining Jake and Damian on stage was Roxie Nafousi, the internationally renowned self-development coach, author and manifestation guru who said: “Life is always going to bring you challenges and struggles, everything you’re going through has a meaning, has a value.”

Although The High Performance Tour is not a live podcast record, Jake and Damian relived some of the best advice given by their inspirational guests over the years, from Tyson Fury, Alex Scott and Matthew McConaughey to Rachel Botsman, AJ Tracey and many more.

Next up the High Performance Tour co-produced by Norwich Theatre visits Nottingham, Oxford, Northampton, Glasgow, Cardiff, Guildford, Leeds and Salford this spring and summer.
