JAKE Quickenden has shared his incredible body transformation admitting to fans, “I let myself get out of my routine”.
The former X Factor star showed off his toned and tattooed torso in an Instagram post explaining why he decided to turn things around.
He uploaded two before and after mirror selfies, sharing them side-by-side to show the difference in his appearance.
Jake, 33, told his followers: “So I wasn’t going to post this, I was a little ashamed of how I let myself get, I’ve never been out of shape really I know that, but with lockdown and becoming a dad and also being on tour I let myself get out of my routine, which in turn not only affected my body but also my mental health!!
“5 weeks of turning that all around, being in a routine, lifting weights again after injuries I feel great not only physically but mentally, I still have down days we all do!
“But I wanted to sort myself out, anything is possible when you put your mind to it and work hard.”

The Dancing On Ice champion, who shares his one-year-old son Leo with girlfriend Sophie Church, is also a stepdad to Sophie’s eight-year-old son Freddie, from a previous relationship.
Currently touring with the production of Footloose, Jake went on: “I’m not preaching either here I just wanted to say that it’s ok to have time off, but I realised I perform best as a person, as a partner and a father when I feel good and that means body and mind!
“I’m proud of my results so far, I will keep going and having a better relationship with food and exercise, not eating when I’m bored or just pigging out emotionally but actually realising that and trying to do something about it!”
He also revealed he’d ditched smoking in order to improve his health and fitness.
Jake continued: “I wanna be around on this planet for as long as possible I have Leo, sophie and Fred to think of!!
“I’m also 4 weeks no smoking and when I say no smoking I mean not even social which I had become!!
“Proud let’s keep it going. 
!!”
Jake recently sparked rumours he’s set to join the Strictly Come Dancing 2022 line-up after sharing a cryptic tweet.
The guitarist and singer sent fans into a frenzy on Twitter when he asked: “Has anyone who’s done dancing on ice ever done @bbcstrictly just wondering.”
