I will be back fighting at the end of February but I'm going on a little bit of a break to get that sorted."
He also expressed his gratitude towards his fans, saying, "I just wanted to say thank you for all your support and all your messages."
A Difficult Period
James Martin's battle with cancer was first revealed earlier this year. He underwent surgery in 2018 to remove facial cancer, but the disease returned on multiple occasions. The chef also faced other challenges during this time, including a burglary and the loss of his grandfather.
In July, James found himself at the center of bullying claims. He apologized for his behavior and acknowledged that the end of 2017 was one of the most difficult periods of his life.
Renewal of Saturday Morning Show
Despite the challenges he faced, James Martin recently received some positive news. He confirmed that his Saturday Morning show has been renewed by ITV for another year. This announcement came after the show's future was uncertain following the leak of an audio clip in which James was heard using strong language during a moment of frustration.
Speaking at a live event, James expressed his gratitude for the support he has received. He said, "I want to thank everyone for their support. It's been a difficult time and I've not been well. But I wanted to let you know about the future of my Saturday show as ITV have just made a decision yesterday. So, ITV has decided to renew the Saturday show for another year. We've just found out."
