Tragic Accident on US Motorway
Jamie Watson, the husband of Jamie Lynn Spears, has been accused of causing a fatal crash that blocked a major motorway in Louisiana. According to legal documents uncovered by The Celeb Report, Watson's uninsured trailer truck got stuck in a ditch while turning into a private driveway, obstructing both lanes of the US-51 near Fluker. The crash resulted in the deaths of three people.
Details of the Crash
The lawsuit filed against Watson reveals that while an oncoming 18-wheeler managed to stop in time to avoid a collision, another driver, Kaleb Collette, rear-ended the 18-wheeler in his Chevrolet Silverado pickup. Collette, along with his passengers Lee Ross and Kenneth Parnell, tragically lost their lives in the accident. The legal papers indicate that Collette was allegedly speeding at the time of the crash.
Legal Battle and Settlement
The lawsuit was filed by the 18-wheeler driver, Corey David, who suffered physical and mental injuries. David blamed Collette for the collision but also accused Watson of gross negligence and listed eight road violations. The insurance companies of all parties involved, including Watson's trucking business, were co-defendants in the lawsuit. Eventually, the lawsuit was settled by David's insurers.
Watson Removed from the Lawsuit
Watson's uninsured status played a role in his removal from the lawsuit. The court documents reveal that Watson had no liability for the incident and was dismissed from the suit. The insurers of David demanded that Watson be held accountable, stating that if his vehicle had not obstructed the roadway, the accident would not have occurred.
Settlement and Other Lawsuit
The case between David and his insurers was settled in May 2021. Additionally, Watson's transportation firm, Fluker Transportation LLC, was also sued for damages by the father of one of the crash victims. However, that case was also settled.

Jamie Lynn Spears, known for her role in "Zoey 101," has been married to Watson since 2014. The couple has two daughters together.
