JANE McDonald has opened up on going through a dramatic life change after her fiance Eddie Rothe died of cancer last year.
The TV presenter – who appeared on Loose Women on Tuesday – revealed how she had her pal and former backing singer Sue Ravey move in with her to her Yorkshire home.

Jane, 59, was left devastated when her fiancé Eddie Rothe passed away last April after being diagnosed with lung cancer.
Now, the singer has opened up on making a drastic change after she was left living alone in the home she shared with her fiance.
She invited long-term pal Sue, 71, to move into “a part of” her bungalow as both the women were living alone.
She told the ITV panel of quitting touring to relax at home more: “My friend Sue just said, ‘I can’t do this any more’ and it made me think, ‘Actually, what do we want to do now?’

“We got off the tour bus at half past five one morning and the sun was up and we hadn’t slept all night, the traffic had been really bad, and she just looked at me and said, ‘What are we doing? At our age?’
“I said, ‘Speak for yourself!’ But I don’t think I’ll ever give it up. I’m just stepping back for a while.”
The pair then decided to move in together, with Sue revealing that she lives in a separate part of Jane’s bungalow home.
“We’ve got the same humour, we like the same food – and it was no brainer, I had a house and she used to have a house,” Jane added.
Sue chimed in: “I jumped at the chance because it was a cheap board, I’ve got a fabulous bedroom and bathroom with underfloor heating. I just thought it was great.”
Jane also opened up on struggling with life after Eddie’s passing – and thanked her family for getting her through the hard time.
“I was a mess, but they just got me through it. They really did. You can find love in many different ways – it can be a pet, it can be your fans, it can be your family, or your friends…” she went on.
“When you lose a lot of love – I lost my mum and Ed – and you just think, ‘I’m never going to fill that hole again’ but you do.
“It comes from other places, and that’s why you’ve got to let the light in and that’s what I’m doing.
“I’ve just stepped back from touring for a couple of years because it’s hard work. Sometimes you’ve got to step back and make space for great things to happen.
“That’s my motto in life. You’ve got to make things sometimes happen, and my life for the past seven years has been touring, recording, television, recording, and that’s just been constant.”
Last year, Jane burst into tears on Loose Women as she opened up about the death of her fiancé Eddie for the first time.
