The star opens up about her battle with confidence and Fad diets

Jennifer Ellison, best known for her role on Brookside, has revealed her struggle with feeling confident and her decision to give up on dieting, despite losing three stone. In an interview with Closer Magazine, the 40-year-old actress shared her journey towards body acceptance and self-confidence.

No longer in the rat race

Jennifer, who is now at a happy weight, said, "I don't feel I'm in that rat race anymore of having to look amazing. I've stopped trying to diet." She explained that after years of fluctuating weight, she now focuses on eating healthily rather than following fad diets that never seemed to work.

From lost confidence to newfound strength

In the past, Jennifer had lost her confidence to the point where she would refuse auditions. She revealed, "I had literally given up on myself." However, her experience on Channel 4's Celebrity SAS, which she described as "terrifying and unbearable," helped her regain her self-belief. The grueling experience, which involved intense physical and mental challenges, motivated her to push herself further.

A transformative experience

Since participating in SAS Who Dares Wins, Jennifer has lost even more weight and views the gym as less daunting. She said, "If I could do that, I could do anything." The actress credited the reality show for giving her the confidence to take on new challenges and believe in her own strength.
