Will Jenny uncover the real story behind her former fiancé's disappearance?

Drama is set to unfold on the cobbles of Coronation Street, as the body of Leo Thompkins is discovered one year after his sudden disappearance. Rovers landlady Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews) is left devastated as she learns the news. The question now is, will she be able to uncover the truth about what really happened to Leo?

A year of heartache

Previously, Jenny had big plans to leave Weatherfield and start a new life in Canada with Leo. However, everything changed when Leo vanished without a trace, abruptly ending their engagement. Jenny has spent the past several months trying to move on.

A new beginning, or so she thought

In recent episodes, Jenny has started a new relationship with Stephen Reid (Todd Boyce). Despite warnings from Elaine Jones about Stephen's questionable behavior, Jenny decides to give him a chance. After returning from a romantic trip to Paris, Jenny tells Stephen that it's time for him to move into the pub, signaling a significant step forward in their relationship.

A shocking discovery

However, Stephen's happiness is short-lived when he learns that a dead body has been found on Ed and Ronnie's building site. Knowing that his secrets might finally be revealed, Stephen tries to hide his inner turmoil. Later, when Jenny is informed by a uniformed Craig Tinker that the body is that of her former fiancé Leo, she is left reeling. Is Stephen's game finally up?

A web of lies and murder

Unbeknownst to Jenny, Leo had discovered Stephen's dark secrets before his untimely death in September 2022. Stephen has also been responsible for the murders of Leo's father and another entrepreneur. Now, the question remains whether his crimes will finally come to light.

Coronation Street airs every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 8pm on ITV.
