JEREMY Clarkson was left “speechless” as protestors dumped three tonnes of compost on his Range Rover in response to his extension plans for Diddly Squat farm.
Jeremy, 61, arrived at the farm with his partner Lisa Hogan on Tuesday and was flabbergasted when he witnessed the protest.
On Tuesday, protestors at his farm, named Diddly Squat farm, ran around naked and dumped three tonnes of mushroom compost over his motor.
The protestors, who emerged from tents near the farm shop, used graffiti to write “Save our Turf, Save the Earth.”
However, Clarkson fans will be relived to know that the scenes were all just a stunt to promote the upcoming series of his hit Amazon show Clarkson’s Farm.
The eco-warriors used a digger to dump three tonnes of smelly mushroom compost over the star’s green gleaming Range Rover.
The mock protests saw them complain about his plans to expand his farm in Chadlington, Oxfordshire, claiming it could increase traffic in the village and damage to the soil.
The Clarkson’s Farm star looked gobsmacked as he watched the faux protestors vandalise his car and property.
The group were cheering and waving placards, one of which read: “Soil has feeling, Clarkson doesn’t.”
The Amazon Prime star opened his farm shop last year and recently became a hit on the streaming service with Clarkson’s Farm.
In a dramatic climax to the scenes, Jeremy, watched in horror as a man driving a digger offloaded a heap of compost onto his green Range Rover.
Another protestor could be seen on the roof of the vehicle egging him on by shouting and raising his fists.
Meanwhile a third figure directed the digger towards the car, jeering the whole time.
As a mountain of mushroom compost descended on the vehicle, the TV personality looked taken aback with feigned disgust.
He then wandered over to his newly-covered Range Rover to examine just what has been dumped all over his pristine motor.
Elsewhere during the protest, one of the staged activists was filmed running and dancing naked.
A fake police officer even tried to diffuse the situation and prevent the protestor from getting close to the former Top Gear presenter.
Speaking to MailOnline, one onlooker compared the scene to ‘something out of a Monty Python movie’ and confessed that they ‘felt sorry’ for the celebrity farm owner.
“First there was a naked man being chased by a policeman and then this digger appears out of nowhere and dumps all this stuff all over the car,” they said.
“What really shocked me was that Clarkson didn’t say a word, which is not like him at all,” the eye-witness told the publication.
“Normally he has an opinion on everything, but he just stood there silent as all this stuff landed on his car.
“But what really surprised me is that the police didn’t do anything,” the unnamed eye-witness continued.
“Soon after the car was covered in compost, they just left and so did Clarkson. Then some people from the farm started cleaning up the car as the protestors looked on.”
The former Top Gear presenter bought the country estate in 2008 and this year starred in Amazon Prime show Clarkson’s Farm.
The TV presenter opened a farm shop last year to sell merchandise and food produced at his Diddly Squat Farm.
But residents were further upset when the star revealed he now wants to build a restaurant in an old lambing shed on his land.
Writing about their reaction in his latest Sunday Times column, Clarkson said that his suggestion had “gone down like a shower of sick with a few red-trouser people in my local village”.
