Details of Renovations Unveiled
Jeremy Clarkson's ambitious plans to completely overhaul his £1 million pub in the Cotswolds have been revealed. The TV presenter, known for Clarkson's Farm, is set to transform the neglected property into a thriving local pub.
Renovation Details
Fans got a sneak peek inside Jeremy's pub, The Windmill, near Burford, Oxfordshire, earlier this year during the Euros final. Although temporarily opened, the pub is currently closed for extensive renovations before a permanent public opening, possibly in 2025.
Application for Upgrades
Jeremy has applied to West Oxfordshire District Council for an upstairs bar and an extension of the alcohol license to allow outdoor sales. Plans include a bar on the first floor and the addition of a temporary tent in a fixed location, as per supporting documents.
Local Support and Future Events
The local community is backing Jeremy's efforts to revamp The Windmill pub. His plans for the establishment include a menu of well-priced, British-grown food and his own Hawkstone Beer. The pub is expected to feature bar billiards, darts, a garden, and a ban on noisy TVs.
While the pub may not open to the public until 2025, it will host a pre-booked wedding event later this year. Jeremy aims to create a fun and homely atmosphere at The Windmill, where he can also enjoy a Sunday meal with his granddaughter.
Jeremy's Hawkstone brand will be prominently featured in the pub, with beer pumps already on display during the Euro final event earlier this year.
