Pub's Warning
Jeremy Clarkson's pub, The Farmer's Dog, has issued a caution to visitors following a series of thefts and financial challenges. The Oxfordshire pub, which opened in August last year, has been grappling with a surge in stolen branded pint glasses.
Financial Struggles
In a recent column for The Times, Jeremy Clarkson expressed the difficulties faced by the pub in turning a profit despite attracting a steady stream of customers. He highlighted the significant costs incurred, including fuel for the generator, terrace heating, and expenses for parking and traffic marshals.
Warning to Visitors
Following reports of pub-goers selling stolen pint glasses on eBay, The Farmer's Dog took to Instagram to share a playful yet firm message. A post featuring beer mats with Jeremy's face urged patrons not to take the venue's Hawkstone pint glasses, emphasizing the financial impact of such thefts.
Closure of Farm Shop
In light of ongoing challenges, it was announced that the Diddly Squat Farm Shop, associated with Jeremy Clarkson's farming endeavors, would be temporarily closing for two months. The closure comes amidst concerns over profitability and sustainability.
