Loose Women star Judi Love couldn't hold back her tears after spending the day working with midwives and delivering babies. As part of the latest segment on the show called "Life if Not Loose," Judi and fellow co-host Nadia Sawalha traded the studio for scrubs to experience the world of midwifery.
Dreams of becoming a midwife
Before finding fame, Judi had dreams of becoming a midwife. During the segment, she expressed her desire to be a part of such a critical and joyous moment in families' lives. "Just being able to facilitate families in such a critical, but joyous moment, of their life and care for them, that’s just all I wanted to do," she said.
A day at Epsom Hospital
Judi and Nadia visited Epsom Hospital to train as midwives for the day. They were present during a caesarean birth, where Judi became emotional upon seeing the baby's hand. "I saw his hand, I just lost it then!" she shared. Despite the tears, Judi expressed her gratitude for the experience and the support of her co-host. "From my makeup you can tell, I’ve cried but I’m so glad I did it with you [Nadia]. Kizzy and Chloe were absolutely phenomenal and the team!" she said.
Festive display in the studio
Back in the studio, Judi was joined by Kaye Adams, Jane Moore, and Linda Robson. The group put on a festive display by recreating a nativity scene. Staying true to the baby theme, Judi took on the role of the Virgin Mary and was seen holding a little baby Jesus.
