After being involved in a kidnapping scam with her son Keanu Taylor, Karen is treated to a surprise birthday bash at The Vic. However, things take an unexpected turn when two of her children, Riley and Chatham Taylor, return to Albert Square after three years of absence.

Riley and Chatham, portrayed by real-life brothers Tom and Archie Jacobs, left Walford during the 2020 lockdown to live with their father. But now, on Karen's birthday, they make a comeback. Will this reunion lead to a change in their living arrangements?

Aside from the late Chantelle, Karen's children have been leading their own lives. Keegan has left the Square to go to Germany, and Bernie is working in the local café. Keanu, on the other hand, has had an on-and-off relationship with Sharon Watts, which Karen has had strong opinions about.

Karen and Keanu worked together to stage a kidnapping as revenge against Sharon. During this plan, Albie Watts, Sharon's son, was taken away but eventually returned when Sharon paid a ransom. Now, with the money in hand, Karen's behavior catches the attention of Mitch Baker.
Uncovering Secrets
Mitch becomes suspicious of Karen's cash flow when she agrees to pay for a large drinks tab at The Vic. As he tries to repair the relationship between Karen and Keanu, secrets start to unravel when their accomplice, Malcolm, shows up at the party and catches the eye of Albie.
