Kate Garraway jokes about Ben Shephard's exit from Good Morning Britain

Good Morning Britain anchor Kate Garraway playfully joked about her former co-star Ben Shephard being "dead to us" after he departed the show to join This Morning.

Ben, 49, a beloved figure on the ITV morning show, bid farewell in February to embrace his new role and adjusted schedule.

All change

Viewers and colleagues were deeply saddened by Ben's departure from GMB, where he had co-hosted with Kate for a decade on Thursdays and Fridays, following their collaboration on other ITV daytime programs including GMTV.

Upon leaving, Ben expressed how difficult it was to say goodbye to his "work wife" Kate, highlighting their nearly 20-year on-screen partnership.

He mentioned the valuable experiences gained from working alongside Kate and the rest of the GMB team, as well as the challenges of early mornings and the joy of potential future hangouts with them.

Adil Ray has stepped in temporarily to fill Ben's spot on GMB.
